Vision

In its determined efforts to ensure the provision of basic social infrastructures aimed at continuously improving the lots of its citizenry, the Federal Government selected some States for special intervention by the United Nation Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the execution of programmes of Education, Health, Nutrition and Water Supply. Oyo State was one of selected states at the initial stage of the scheme, ostensibly with the intention of replicating the scheme in the selected states. The programme has extended to 26 states of the Federation as at end of 2003.
